  1. Visit A Red Door Location

    If everything you see on our website seems just too good to be true, do yourself a favor and come see our furnished model homes in Raeford, NC. Come check out our Tynedale and Westover Model Homes.

  2. Pick Your Dream Home & Personalize It

    It's only STEP 2 and things are already getting seriously fun!
    We give you the ability to make any of these homes uniquely yours. Three unique Home Collections to fit YOUR budget and lifestyle:

     Once you choose your Dream Home, you can select one, of at least three, available exterior looks for your new home. From there you can explore the personalization choices available to meet your needs and desires.

  3. Review Your Free Investment Snapshot

    Your friendly Red Door Dream Home Consultant will present a FREE comprehensive Investment Snapshot for your perfect home. Then y'all will sit down together, talk over your plan, and if necessary, tweak some things to make sure we're matching up with your budget.

    This is usually when our customers' eyes get really big and many decide to add customizations, or even choose a larger home plan, because the investment amount is much lower than expected.

  4. Identify & Evaluate Your Land

    If you don't have land, we can help you find the perfect homesite in your desired area. Once you have land we offer a FREE Lot Evaluation that enables us to:

    • Confirm your selected home will work on your lot
    • Assess any foundation needs your home placement may require
    • Gather preliminary information about site preparation and utility costs to include in your Investment Snapshot.
  5. Secure Your Financing

    Okay, even though our homes are amazingly affordable, you're probably still going to need to borrow some moolah to pay for it. Red Door Homes works closely with a lot of great mortgage lenders, banks and credit unions as well as farm credit organizations. Your ideal loan type may vary depending on your property and some other factors. If you'd like our help, we're happy to guide you to a financing solution that fits nicely with your individual needs and goals.

  6. Close Your Construction Loan

    Okay... as soon as your financing is secured, your construction loan will close--and that triggers the Pre-Construction phase. Wow, that step was easy!

  7. Attend Your Pre-Construction Meeting

    Keeping you well informed throughout the entire building process is just the Red Door way. In your pre-construction meeting you will meet with a Red Door Construction Manager and your personally-assigned Builder to:

    • Make sure everyone is starting on the same page and working toward the same vision
    • Review your project and discuss any outstanding issues
    • Learn what to expect during construction

    We're going to make sure all of you questions are answered - even the questions you don't ask.

  8. Watch Your House Being Built

    Your pre-con meeting is done. We've finalized your plans. We've written out your purchase orders. Let's build your home!

    Now the real fun and excitement begins. Watch and enjoy the progress as your new home, which you played a major role in designing, takes shape before your eyes. Your Builder is gonna keep you up to speed on the status with regular communication and you can come visit the construction site any time. Start packing up your stuff, it's almost time to move in.

  9. Enjoy Your New Home Orientation

    Once a Certificate of Occupancy is issued, our team will complete a thorough Internal Delivery Review to ensure your home is 100% ready for you. Your New Home Orientation will be scheduled 4-5 business days prior to move-in. We'll present your new home and introduce you to the features, show you how they operate and make sure expectations are met. Any items that require attention will be addressed within a few days of your orientation.

  10. Move-In

    Welcome home! Once every detail of your home has been approved by you and the Red Door staff, you can move in your belongings and start living the life you imagined in your new Dream home.
